All drip-tips are equal? Definitely not!
The team of Swizz has taken some thought and wondered how natural it is actually to take a piece of metal between the lips. Especially people with amalgam fillings may have been wondering about the reactions that arose from it. But others too found it perhaps not so great to feel cold metal.
So it was perfectly logical to turn to other materials. The choice is huge and every material has its advantages. We were stuck with the most natural material at all, wood. As a matter of honor, Swizz was not looking for everyday wood but more liekely special varieties of precious woods as e.g.:
Gaboon ebony from Ceylon
Snakewood from Guyana
Pink Ivory from Southeastafrica
Kingwood from Brazil
Jacaranda from Brazil
2500 years old swamp wood from Switzerland
(Be aware:in some cases only limited availability of these rare woods ! )
The processing of these woods is artists work in itself, and we have learned that the stability of the Drip-tips can be guaranteed only if we combine it with metal. We have chosen cold hardened duralumin, which is used for its properties also in space. Now we worked on the shape of the outer drip-tips: to ensure the easy attachment to the Mod, it has received an indentation that serves as an ideal gripping spot. Inside, several grooves are matched together in order to prevent the two components of the drip-tips to separate.
As we know about the high demands of professional vapers, we do we grind the mouthpiece , impregnate it with natural linseed oil and last but not least polish it with a special wax .
So far so good ...
But because we have much greater demands on our products and also wanted to stand out from the already available models , we have now asked our physicist to help in the development. He was thinking hard until he has developed a very special aromatic nozzle that helps to brake down the different ingredients of a liquid thanks to a special pressure system.
This system is as a matter of fact already more than 200 years old and is based on the knowledge of the Italian physicist GB Venturi (1746-1822), who invented the venturi nozzle. He discovered that the velocity of a fluid flowing through a pipe fluid behaves inversely proportional to a changing pipe diameter. That is, the velocity of the fluid is at its greatest where the cross-section of the tube is closest. Daniel Bernoulli has deepened these insights and found out later vthat in a flowing fluid a speed increase is accompanied by a pressure drop.
Drip-Tips by Swizz
The Drip Tips by Swizz are based on exactly this system , because research has shown that the flavors of liquids can be digested much better and in accordance with the Liquids can release their subtle hints much more pronounced thanks to the change in pressure.
In a blind test study which was carried out in spring 2015 there was proof that the steaming with a Swizz Drip - Tip provides an enhanced taste experience .
Of course, we are particularly pleased that not only the sophisticated system of our Swizz Drip Tips convinces but also the elegant design of these mouthpieces : Drip tips are offered in various types of wood , combined with black, silver or golden sockets ( depending on stock ). And it's for sure that these Drip-Tips are the crown of every beautiful mod!
